Born and raised in Door County, Wisconsin, Seth Raddatz grew up with a wealth of musical influences from his father, local folk icon Mark Raddatz, to other local artists including Chris Alley, pat mAcdonald, Matthew Fischer, and others. Joining his father on stage from a young age, Seth picked up guitar like an old friend and has honed his musical prowess first at open mics, then in guest spots, gigs and concerts throughout Door County for years.
Performing both covers and originals, Seth’s guitar and vocals seem to be two parts of the same instrument. Influenced further by Neil Young, Conor Oberst, Wilco, and of course Bob Dylan and John Prine, Raddatz weaves his folk-rock and country styles with haunting and heartfelt lyrics, ushering in the new folk generation.
